Samyang Fisheye LR 4.2 lens profile

Looking for a lens correction (defish) profile for a Samyang 8mm fisheye?

You can find one here: http://akry.livejournal.com/781417.html

On Windows machine, put here: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.2\Resources\LensProfiles\1.0

On Mac machine, put here: /User (user name)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/LensProfiles/1.0

The profile is built for use with a 7d. If you have a different camera, you can open up the file (.lcp) and replace ‘7d’ with your camera model (find all instances of ‘7d’). I haven’t tried it as I use a 7d.

Nirwana Resort

Just got back from a mini family vacation to Bintan, Indonesia. We stayed at the Nirwana Resort Hotel. A very relaxing place, nice and quiet, away from the hustle n bustle of asian city life.

Here’s a link to my flickr set for some photos:

Genting Highlands

Theme park and hotels look nice, no photography allowed in any of the casinos. There are security guards/metal detectors at the entrance. They won’t let you in if they see you carrying a camera. Each hotel has a different theme/look/feel. There is a huge carnival games area. So you should be able to get a bunch of different photos.

Mountain range views makes for great photos provided the weather is good. There is also an abandoned construction project which looks interesting.

There is a Buddhist temple lower down the mountain with great views. It looks really good. I didn’t get a chance to stop and take pictures tho. Maybe next time.
